I Have Chosen You
The Holy Spirit moved upon me with great power as She came to teach me about the anointing and the calling upon my life. In the summer of 1996, while I was in my bed at my house in Attica, Michigan, the Holy Spirit awakened me out of my sleep three separate nights, with the same message. I was told to go read 1Samuel Chapter 17.
Later that same week my son and I went up North to meet my Dad at his cabin. We were going to mow some grass for a while, before we went out on the lake in my dad’s boat. It was Saturday afternoon, and we had just finished lunch. My son and dad were already outside, and I was headed out also as soon as I dried all the dishes.
I remember hearing my dad start the lawn mowers. I then hurried toward the dish towel rack to hang up the dish towel. I was about half way there, when all of a sudden I was stopped instantly by the Holy Spirit. The moment this happened I began to weep and tremble. I was not afraid but, the power was awesome. I was froze right there in the middle of the floor.
Another thing I remember is there was no inertia. What remains in motion wants to stay in motion. This time that did not happen. It was then that the Holy Spirit spoke to me and said “I am going to make you a mighty slayer, of evil spiritual giants. Not by power, or by might, but by my Spirit, saith the Lord.”
Immediately after the Holy Spirit spoke to me those words, I was able to move again. I went outside and told my dad and son what had just happened to me. They did not know what to make out it.
In 1 Samuel Chapter 17, is where David slew Goliath, the giant. Reverend Davis, now I know much about the calling the Lord has upon my life. Because of listening to you at my brother Russell’s house, I heard about The Clementine Homilies. I want to personally thank you from the bottom of my heart. It has taught my brother and myself so much about the wiles of the evil ones, and how to get the victory over them, through these teachings, Peter learned From Christ.
Your brother in Christ Jesus,
Paul Maddock
