A Prayer & A Vision
July 4, 2005 at 10:15 AM
I saw a bird by the birdbath in our backyard, and it wasn’t acting like other birds I had watched when they dropped by for a visit. I walked over to it and it tried to take to flight when I was just a few feet away, but it couldn’t. At first I thought that it had a problem with it’s left wing, but when I saw that it couldn’t walk without falling to it’s left side, I knew this bird’s problems were very serious. I bowed my head, closed my eyes, folded my hands and began to pray for it.
At first I saw the Spiritual Eye that I normally do, which has a deep navy blue center surrounded by a pale yellow outer ring. Then I saw an object flying off in the distance in the left side of my field of vision, immediately followed by intense confirmation chills that spirit was with me. Then I noticed that the flying object was a bird, and at first I thought it was a white seagull, but then it looked like a dove, and then like the pale brown bird on the ground in front of me.

I watched as the bird flew directly into the center of Spiritual Eye, and then my chills subsided. When I opened my eyes I saw the bird stretch out its right wing, then it extended its feet behind it like it was in flight, and then extended its left wing. It looked just like it was gliding while in flight, and I watched as it closed its eyes and passed over. All of this took place within a minute or less, but it’s an event in my life that spirit chose to share with me that I will never forget.
